Our
Beliefs

Purpose needs a spine.

The brands that lead organize around one clear, dominant idea — and they commit to it unapologetically. Clarity is what lets complexity become something people can understand, believe, and act on. Brands that try to stand for everything end up standing for nothing

Proof before the story.

We help brands accumulate real proof points over time. Bold, measurable actions designed to achieve clear goals. With a strong track record of doing the work, the story earns its right to be told.

The inside and the outside are the same work.

When armed with inspiration and real understanding of the work, employees become a brand's most powerful advocates — expanding and extending the story further than any campaign could. The internal alignment and external story get built together, or they don't hold.

A decade is the right unit of measurement.

The brands that shape culture didn't build it in a quarter. They showed up consistently, over years, with a clear point of view. We help our clients do the same.

Purpose without proof is just intention.

The gap between what your brand says and what it does is costing you. With employees, with customers, and with the people your purpose is supposed to reach.

We are not a traditional agency. We are not a giant consulting firm that hands you a report and disappears. We are the people who meet you in the messy middle between intention and action.

We are the focused, nimble team of humans serving brands ready to do the real work — the kind that shows up in communities, in culture, and on the bottom line.

That's the work Decadally was built for.

Our expertise is impact focused and results driven.

Superpowers: Impact operationalization, storytelling, and tapping into my inner Auntie

I’ve never been satisfied with the status quo. As a “geriatric millennial,” so many critical moments of my life were defined by massive, unprecedented events that shook my fundamental understanding of the world to its core. 9/11, Hurricane Katrina, The Recession - and now Covid-19, all of these moments made me wonder why the systems I’d been led to believe in weren’t working for so many people who looked like me.

I began my career in the non-profit sector because, at the time, that was where “bleeding hearts” like me went to make the world a better place. I quickly realized that so much of the phenomenal work in that sector is undermined by our collective belief that all of our problems will be solved through the kindness and generosity of the wealthiest and most powerful - if that were the case, we’d be living in a much different world.

After working with incredible nonprofits, and a stint as a founder, I decided to try my luck in the private sector. I landed in tech after realizing that there were emerging, modern brands that were unapologetically mission oriented, fearlessly customer centric and building inherently impactful products and services. I’ve had the pleasure of working with iconic brands like Headspace and Dave and currently serve on the board of the industry disrupting company, ChargerHelp!.

I created Decadally because I saw an opportunity to help the brands operationalize their purpose and bring impact to life.

Superpowers: Strategic, futurist, challenger, impact junkie and ChatGPT wannabe

I've always been forward-thinking, eager to embrace what's next. Deep down, I'm driven by the desire to create meaningful, lasting change.

In my early career, I was at the forefront of the internet, e-commerce and AI wave. As a parent, I embraced the challenge of adopting twins, including one with autism. Leading Surfrider Foundation for ten years, I championed coastal preservation and access with a global community of advocates and activists.

I've realized that quick fixes or gimmicks don't create lasting impact. Real change needs unwavering commitment, a clear strategy, and long-term thinking.

From my experience, among government, non-profits, and brands, brands wield the most power in driving change. That's why I started the 'brand citizenship' practice at 72andSunny in 2014, which became its own entity in 2020. Brand Citizens focuses on blending profit with purpose, emphasizing social responsibility and innovation.

Over the past nine years, we've worked with major brands, from Nike to Tillamook. Our team is driven by a passion to better the world, helping leaders not just sell products, but also make a genuine difference.

How this looks in practice

We get into the work with you. The real tensions, the internal dynamics, the gap between what leadership believes and what's actually happening on the ground. We work across the organization, from the C-suite to the frontline, because that's where the real story either holds or falls apart.

Then we build the strategy, the story, and the tools together. Co-created with your team so the work is grounded in your reality, credible to your audiences, and strong enough to hold over time.

We've done this with Nike, Target, UnitedHealthcare, Clif Bar, Verizon, Sierra Club, and others. And while the needs may differ across clients and sectors, our standards - and our beliefs - stay firm.

Are you ready to close the gap between intention and action?
